peaking of internet and internet browsers there’s cold war between the major companies that has been taking place for the last 15 years. One of the first browsers that has appeared was Internet Explorer from Microsoft and soon after Internet Explorer came Netscape. After Internet Explorer and Netscape other browsers showed up such as Opera, Firefox and Safari. Although Internet Explorer was leading browser in the 90’s many people are using alternatives such as Firefox because Internet Explorer has many compatibility issues. Although Internet Explorer was dominant browser back in the 90’s it has lost its popularity over time but not its audience. Today Internet Explorer is used by 51% of the internet users while Firefox is on second place with 31%. Besides Internet Explorer and Firefox there’s a new browser that has appeared in the end of 2008 and that browser came from Google. Of course, we’re talking about Google Chrome that became third most used browser in the world for just two years.
Google Chrome offered simplicity to its users but unlike Firefox, Google Chrome didn’t support any extensions until recently. Google is constantly working on improvements when it comes to Google Chrome and after extensions we’re about to see some new stuff in the latest version of Chrome. Interesting thing is that the latest version of Chrome will be able to synchronize your extensions and history, and not just bookmarks like the current version. In addition, Chrome 6 will make better use of multi-core processors and it will be able to resample non-native image sizes in the background while it loads the rest of the page. Some highly anticipated features will not be implanted in this version such as side tabs and Native mode that will allow only native apps to run within browser itself. Even though we don’t know the official release date of Chrome 6 we’re hoping that we’ll see the latest version of this amazing browser soon enough.
